Dental hygiene treatment and prevention

Clean teeth contribute significantly to your well-being, and it is for this reason that we recommend that you do a descaling twice a year. Our dental hygienists are happy to welcome you, treat and advise you in matters of oral hygiene.

Pediatric dentistry

The first visit to the dentist can be made when the first teeth appear or at the latest in the following six months, around the age of one year. The goal here is not necessarily to treat the child, but rather to familiarize him with the environment of a dental office.

Conservative treatment

Tooth decay results in the appearance of a cavity on the email. Gradually, the caries becomes more important and invades the interior of the tooth by reaching the dental pulp. Pain related to the consumption of sugary or cold foods can be indicative of the presence of cavities. You must consult your dentist so that it can be treated quickly.

Dental treatment for children

Sealing dental cracks is a preventive measure. This can prevent cavities from forming in the grooves of the premolar teeth and permanent molars. This treatment does not require local anesthesia so no injection.

Gum treatment

Gum disease should be considered quickly before it gets worse, as gum damage can be problematic. Spotted quickly, gingivitis is easily treated. It should be interpreted as an alarm signal, a likely harbinger of periodontitis in the absence of appropriate care. Periodontitis is a more serious gum disease. It attacks the tissue surrounding the tooth and is caused by bacteria that grow in the periodontal pockets. As the health of your teeth is directly related to the health of your gums, it is essential to attach great importance to it.

Endodontic treatment

Endodontic treatment is a curative treatment which consists in removing the dental pulp from damaged or infected teeth. This technique significantly prolongs the life of the teeth on the dental arch.

Dental crowns and bridges

A crown can be used to restore the shape, appearance and function of damaged teeth. Crown placement may also be necessary after root canal treatment or if the tooth has had a large filling or is broken.

Ceramic dental inlays

Inlay, Onlay, Overlay
Inlay is a treatment on the molars or premolars that replaces amalgams (fillings) and composites. This involves cutting a custom ceramic block and inserting it into the tooth. After digging the molar, sometimes the remaining walls are very thin. It is therefore contraindicated to put amalgam or composite because the tooth would become too fragile. Inlay restoration is preferable in this case to possibly avoid root canal treatment or the placement of a crown.

Cosmetic dentistry - Dental veneer

The veneer is an aesthetic covering of the tooth used to improve the general appearance of the anterior teeth. Most often made of ceramic, the veneer contributes to a more beautiful smile by covering only the visible face of the smile and damaged, irregular or stained teeth. To place a dental veneer, about half a millimeter of the tooth enamel must be removed under local anesthesia. If veneers are required for aesthetic reasons, other options such as orthodontics and teeth whitening should be evaluated.

Dental implantology

The dental implant is simply a titanium screw which is inserted into the jaw and integrates with the bone to form an artificial root on which it will be possible to add a dental prosthesis. It has several advantages including that of reproducing the natural tooth. Dental implants are solid and allow good chewing. Depending on the number of implants and the number of teeth to be replaced, the dentist proceeds with the production of a single tooth, a bridge or even a complete prosthesis in the event of replacement of the teeth of a complete maxilla.

Wisdom molars and surgery

Wisdom teeth are the third molars. They are therefore located at the back of the mouth and their main function is chewing. It is important that a dentist regularly assesses your wisdom teeth and can attest to their good health. In this way, they will not cause you any problems. A wisdom tooth will be extracted if it does not erupt properly or if it poses a risk to the adjacent tooth. It is a minor surgery performed under local anesthesia for preventive purposes. Ideally, the procedure will be suggested towards the end of adolescence, before the root is completely formed.

Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening involves removing stains from the enamel to change the color of the tooth. Several factors in everyday life can cause teeth to stain like coffee, red wine, tobacco. This is why, teeth whitening is an increasingly popular practice.

Removable dental prosthesis

The need for dentures varies from patient to patient. A prosthesis can replace a single tooth, several teeth or even all the teeth in the mouth with a complete prosthesis.

Grinding teeth and pain in the temporomandibular joint

Bruxism is an unconscious friction movement of the teeth. This grinding or clenching of the teeth occurs mostly during sleep and is also associated with episodes of jaw clenching. Treatment for bruxism can include relaxation, physiotherapy, taking medication, and wearing an occlusal splint to prevent dental damage. It can be worn day or night and prevents the upper teeth from coming into contact with the lower teeth.
